Learn How to Sew a 90-degree Right Angle Corner
The Right Angle Corner is an intersection of two seam lines. Before you start your stitching, take the time to mark where you’ll need to turn the corner when stitching.

Start your straight stitch and reduce machine speed when you get close to the seam intersection/corner. Making sure your needle is positioned in the fabric at the turning point, lift up presser foot and turn your fabric to line up your new seam and start stitching again.

Depending on the project you are making and the fabric you are using, you may want to do several backstitches before you turn the corner and again after you turn the corner.
There are many instances you would use corners: Pockets, Collars, Self-faced hems and Placemats with CORNERS are just a few!
