ABOUT AMY
I’m Amy and LOVE being able to work from home. After our first son was born in 1992, I wanted to go back to work but just couldn’t bring myself to take our child to a daycare. So I chose to be a stay at home mom, and have enjoyed this stage in my life. Thru the years, I have tried several jobs outside of the house and liked working BUT not being at home to watch over our kids just didn’t work for our family. Our oldest son is supporting himself and living in his own place now, but we still have two teenagers at home. Teenagers need even more supervision! They can handle themselves for a few hours while I teach my sewing classes, which is why I LOVE being able to work at home.
I have enjoyed sewing for many years. My grandmothers and mother left me a “love to sew” legacy that I would like to pass to others.
The beginning of my sewing career started with earning a Girl Scouts badge for sewing followed by a few sewing classes in junior high. I continued to make clothes for myself thru high school and also for my first born son; it was then that I created Patches by Price. (credit goes to my husband for the name) Patches by Price was established in 1992 and is now operating as Amy’s Sewing Studio.
